    Mobile Application for Doctor Appointment Booking

    When we looked around our local clinics in Goa, we noticed something very common — most doctor appointments are still handled manually. Patients usually call the clinic or visit in person just to book a slot. Many times, they have to wait in long queues without knowing exactly when their turn will come. In some situations, appointments are given first to familiar people or those who personally know the staff. This makes the process slow and sometimes unfair. Even though there are many medical booking apps available today, very few private doctors from Goa are active on those platforms. Most of these apps mainly focus on large cities. Because of this, people in Goa do not have a proper digital system that connects them with local private doctors in a simple and reliable way. To overcome this issue, we developed Mobile Application for Doctor Appointment Booking, a mobile application designed specifically for booking doctor’s appointment in Goa. The idea behind GoDoc is simple — to make appointment booking clear, fair, and easy for both doctors and patients. In this application, doctors can register themselves, add details about their clinic, set their available timings, and manage appointment requests. Patients can search for doctors nearby, check available time slots, book appointments, upload medical reports if needed, and even give feedback after their visit. An admin verifies doctor registrations before their profiles become visible to patients, which helps maintain authenticity and trust. GoDoc is built using Flutter and Firebase to ensure smooth performance and secure data handling. The overall goal of this project is not just to create an app, but to improve the appointment experience for local people and reduce unnecessary waiting time at clinics. Through this project, we aim to introduce a simple digital solution that can bring better organization and transparency to private healthcare services in Goa.
