dc.description.abstractThe present study titled “Examining Academic Procrastination among College Students” was carried out as a part of the academic requirements for the final year students. To measure academic procrastination , the study employed the Academic Procrastination Scale used was created by Dr. Savita Gupta and Liyaqat Bashir which carefully studies four primary dimensions: Time Management, Task Aversiveness, Sincerity, and Personal Initiative. The survey method was adopted as the research approach . This study was designed to test the hypothesis such as gender differences between students with regard to Academic Procrastination, gender difference across disciplines (Commerce and Arts students ), the Dimensions of Time Management and Sincerity. The sample consisted of 120 college students which was analysed using statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The results showed that male students procrastinated more than female students. The higher mean score indicates higher Academic Procrastination. The t-value was used to determine whether the difference between male and female students was statistically significant. The standard deviation showed the variation in procrastination levels among students.
